USA photo diary III

Aaaand more traveling by car! I discovered a new state in the USA, called Maine. The area of the state of Maine is very large, luckily there were a lot of pretty landscapes to see out of the car.

I went to Bar Harbor, a nice but also quite touristic town.

I stayed in motels for the first time.

I went to Acadia National Park. No lack of pretty beaches, mountains, lakes and views here!

The best thing about this place... okay the best thing besides the awesome view.. there were blueberry fields! So while enjoying the view everyone could pick delicious blueberries. I want a place like this in Belgium!

In the evening we went on the top of the mountain to have a nice view of the sunset.

And then the road trip adventure ended. A new and exciting adventure was going to start: heading to new york! But you will have to wait until next week for my NYC photo diary.

Long time ago that I posted a real outfit post! Here is a brand new one, with clothes I bought in the USA. The top is from zara (sale) and the shorts are from Forever 21! It was one of my favorite summer outfits.

USA photo diary II

After two days in Mystic we got up north, to the sea town Marblehead in Massachusetts. We stayed at a bed and breakfast for 4 days. The first days we went to the beach and to a big shopping mall, the other days we went to Boston, because it was only 15 miles away. I didn't know what to expect of Boston. It turned out to be an awesome city.

The first time to Boston was by boat. Usually I don't really like boats because I get seasick quickly, but luckily that wasn't the case this time and it was a wonderful experience.

Especially when we left the city at sunset.

We experienced the city by walking around a lot, looking up in the air. One of my first thoughts was, so many high buildings and that will be even more in new york?!

We strolled around the pretty neighborhood Beacon Hill.

We shopped in Newbury street and had a look at the campus of Harvard University. We also went to ICA (the institute of contemporary art), there was an exhibition about the culture of vinyl records which I really liked.

USA photo diary I

Today I came back from the USA! I am very sleepy right now because I didn't sleep for more than 27 hours, so don't expect a post with a lot of explanations and stories (that's for later!). My whole trip seems like one beautiful dream now. It feels like I have never been to the USA, it feels so unreal. Anyway, I show you the first pictures, many many more to come but that's also for later because tomorrow I am flying to Sweden so I won't have the time to post. All my posts will be a bit delayed but okay better late than never I guess. Here we go!

Belgium! The plane takes off.. everything starts right here.

And a couple of hours later I see land! Whoehoe, I am in the USA!

After landing at JFK Airport, I took the car, left the city with its magnificent skyline behind me and travelled up north, to Connecticut. One of the villages I visited was Mystic, it's very pretty!
