I don't want to spend money on mass-produced garments anymore.

High street fashion stores make me sad... with their cheap fabrics and copied trends.

And the "made in China" labels even more.

On the other hand I would prefer to support young, creative designers who put a lot of effort, time, energy into creating something special, but their creations are usually over my student budget. So right now I am left in the middle, with nothing.

This doesn't mean I am going to stop posting outfit posts though! I still love clothes and combining and styling and maybe this is just a phase I am going through and will pass with time, but for the moment I am done with (exaggerated) consumption behaviour.

Hi there! Yes I am still alive. More alive than ever, because I only have two working days left (I did a student job during the whole month of August). Afterwards the crazy adventure will finally start: I am first going to Japan for two weeks and then I will spend my last days in Belgium packing my stuff for England! Exciting prospects.

I am planning on doing a lot of video outfit posts during the summer holidays.

I have so much free time now, and the thing I like the most,

Today was my last day of high school. Ever. Crazyscarystrange, and also very cool.

No time for nostalgia or daydreaming about future life though. 

First of all: my exams. They start on Monday and end in only two weeks.

I can smell the freedom already. Mmmm.

I am not going to talk about the sunny weather (you have probably already read it on a zillion blogs) but it is the reason why this blog post isn't as "dark" as the previous ones. A bit of color doesn't hurt. Blowing bubbles when you are 17 doesn't either. I got the idea because of my cousin's marriage last week. When the happy couple walked out of the church we threw rose petals and blowed bubbles. Really pretty!

Don't look ahead there's stormy weather

I love my wine-red lipstick. I bought it in Italy a couple of weeks ago. It's dark yet fresh. After applying it, I just had to try my mum's old sunglasses. It's amazing how we can pass fashion items on from generation to generation. Although the spirit of the age changes, the fashionwheel always turns.

This new top that I received from Sheinside looks like a simple black top at first sight, but because of the unusual length, it is not. The left side is longer than the right side and the back is even longer. Three different cuts in one piece of fabric. It is all possible.

At an ungodly hour I was looking for my jeans shirt in my closet, but as a real sleepyhead I grabbed the wrong hanger: this unfamiliar blazer. I was astonished/happy/satisfied that it actually fit my outfit as well. Because of the long process of thinking and hesitating (is it a good match or not? yes such a hard question) I had to run to catch my train to school. Luckily my outfit was perfect for a crazy dash.

Because these first spring days are usually the most exciting, and I take a walk in the forest, and it gives me an indispensable taste of freedom. And we run, we run away, to a place in our bright imagination, to the ocean, the woods and the sun while wearing dresses that sway in the wind. And my mind is breathing and my soul is jumping. And we are laughing and I am gasping for air, and I fall on the ground and I keep laying very peaceful, because I enjoy looking at our huge world.

It's like I haven't blogged for ages. In the meantime, there hasn't changed a lot. We had our first spring day(s) -this is still a winter outfit though-, I performed twice for the school play (still have a last performance coming up) and I got this beautiful shirt in my mail box. Next up: test week, but afterwards I'm heading to beautiful Italy!

The day after Christmas

What a contrast between Christmas day and the day right after Christmas. Yesterday our house was full of people, cake and presents, but today everything was so quiet and felt a little empty. In this post I want to show the contrast that I feel, in pictures. You can say my outfit is something in between the cosy-colorful-christmasy-atmosphere and the empty-greyish-days-after.
