it's good to be home for christmas

I like Christmas because it's the time of the year the whole family gathers together and we sing and eat and make a bonfire and even though we do this every year it always feels different, which has probably to do with the fact that I have changed. But it's funny because on a day like Christmas I think about the whole "me having changed as a growing individual in the last twelve months"-thing because it's the only day in the year the 'decor', our traditional family activities and their order, our meals and drinks only slightly change throughout the years. It's at this time of the year I realize I actually love good old traditions like Christmas.

The day after Christmas

What a contrast between Christmas day and the day right after Christmas. Yesterday our house was full of people, cake and presents, but today everything was so quiet and felt a little empty. In this post I want to show the contrast that I feel, in pictures. You can say my outfit is something in between the cosy-colorful-christmasy-atmosphere and the empty-greyish-days-after.

I hope you all had a lovely Christmas day! Are you already looking forward to New Year's Eve?

Christmas is around the corner!

sweater H&M, shorts UO, socks New Look, converse
It was weird to put these pictures in my December folder on my computer, the last folder of 2011. Time is flying! Aren't you all excited for Christmas holidays? I can't wait for a lovely, cosy Christmas and a fun New Year's Eve. Oh and I am so going to have complaints about saying this, but I think I need a lot of pretty white snow to come in to a real Christmas mood, because I don't feel the Christmas-y atmosphere yet. I do think a little of Christmas while wearing these socks. And maybe a Christmas tree can help too. But snow is still the best.
(oh and btw, my november monthly photo medley is coming)
