My last summer outfit for 2011!

It is so strange how the weather suddenly changes from a hot summer day to a cold and rainy autumn day, because that's what happened this week. The last summer days are official over now, however I don't mind because I actually prefer dressing with layers. Okay, I'm saying this know, but during winter time I will definitely crave for some sunshine and summer clothes.

Seventeen

Today is my birthday and I turned 17! This day was filled with eating cake, and.. more cake! Besides that it was quite a normal school day, but I will celebrate it better during the week-end.

September

Hey, do you remember I make "monthly photo medley" posts? It's a post at the end of the month with outtakes/pictures I didn't have a chance to use/a summery of that month. I didn't do it during summer, because everything was a bit messed up with my travel diaries, but now I'm doing it again!

For me, a high school student, September means: back to school, back to reality, routine and homework. However it also means: a new start, new opportunities, new people and new activities, like being the editor-in-chief for my high school newspaper, participate in the school play etc.. Although I try to enjoy my last high school year to the fullest, I think and dream a lot about college and what life has to offer next.

Something special this month was that my family has been the host family for jazz musicians during 2 weeks, fun!

Meet Kukie, my cute lil chick.

Meet my new BFF, named Kukie! The cutest lil chick ever. And yay for having an indian summer. I have to admit I kind of put away my sandals and was ready to start wearing winter sweaters and suddenly it got warm again! I love good weather in Autumn. And if you're wondering what I am wearing: my jumpsuit and sandals are from Forever 21, earrings from Sweden, bracelet from a SOHO street seller in New York.

Look at those amazing illustrations! They are made by the talented Mara Louise Cespon, a student at the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City. A couple of months ago she asked me permission to illustrate photos from my blog. Last week-end I got some in my mail box! I really love the way she draws. This is a video I made in Final Cut Pro with a mix of random videos of my summer. I filmed in Belgium, Sweden, Italy and the USA, so this is kind of a summery of my summer. And let's say it another time: don't forget to turn HD on!!

New York photo diary III

On one of my last days in New York, I went to MoMA PS1. It's not the crowded MoMA midtown Manhattan located one, MoMA PS1 is an extension of MoMA and it's in Long Island, neighborhood of Queens.

After going to the beautiful museum we took a walk around Long Island and we found this place with an amazing view.

The subway back to Manhattan.

And of course, we couldn't leave New York without having a look at the beautiful Grand Central Terminal. Remember the first scene of the pilot episode of Gossip Girl here?!
