ITALIA PART I

Home sweet home! I really enjoyed these 12 days in beautiful Italy. I got an overdose of breathtaking landscapes, fun moments, picturesque and colorful houses, beautiful cities, churches, and... tiredness. But it was definitely worth it. This post: first impressions! Tomorrow I am going to post pictures of Pisa and Rome.

The Italy-trip was a school trip. In Belgium most schools organize a school trip in the last year of high school to Italy during Easter holiday. Sometimes it felt like we were in Flanders because there were so many Dutch speaking people!

Pictures were taken at a school tip to the Ardennes. I am currently in Italy! I will be back in 10 days with a lot of pictures and adventures to tell :)

Because these first spring days are usually the most exciting, and I take a walk in the forest, and it gives me an indispensable taste of freedom. And we run, we run away, to a place in our bright imagination, to the ocean, the woods and the sun while wearing dresses that sway in the wind. And my mind is breathing and my soul is jumping. And we are laughing and I am gasping for air, and I fall on the ground and I keep laying very peaceful, because I enjoy looking at our huge world.

Swedish architects and a group of students designed a structure consisting of ten japanese cherry trees which is the main building material for the construction of a two-story retreat. It is growing in Milan and it will take 100 years to grow.

It's like I haven't blogged for ages. In the meantime, there hasn't changed a lot. We had our first spring day(s) -this is still a winter outfit though-, I performed twice for the school play (still have a last performance coming up) and I got this beautiful shirt in my mail box. Next up: test week, but afterwards I'm heading to beautiful Italy!

My portfolio

Big news! I applied for a foundation diploma in arts and design at UCA Maidstone. Yes yes yes. Maidstone is a town in Kent, England (and only 50 minutes away from London). If everything goes according to plan, I will be studying there next year. I will explore many areas of art and design and I will be living on my own in another country, how exciting!
